Still 4 months till
Christmas, and the Summer – fortunately - hasn't left us yet (at
least overhere in Holland), but despite that, it is time for some
exciting news for lovers of Christmas music and of vinyl!
2013 will see the first
edition of the Snowflakes Christmas Singles Club.
Snowflakes Christmas
Singles was started to pay tribute to the Christmas 7” vinyl
single.
Four bands were asked to
record two songs for a Christmas single, an original and a cover
version of a Christmas song they like.
In November, these songs
will be released on four 7” vinyl singles, with the original on the
A-side and the cover on the B-side, packed in a full colour picture
sleeve.
This first edition will
feature Smoke Fairies from London, UK, The Miserable Rich from
Brighton, UK, The Garlands from Stockholm, Sweden and The Silhouettes
from Amsterdam, Holland.
